I couldn’t make that math work at all plausibly. For example, the three worst-performing sectors of the S&P 500 in 2022 (Communications Services, Consumer Discretionary, and Information Technology) were the only sectors to outperform in the first half of 2023. Did you catch it? Here’s about as close as I could come.
