Transcript: Welcome to this week’s Wealth Management Digest.

Most of the headlines this past week were all related to the capital markets. That is unsurprising, considering our strong stock market performance in the last few months. That does tend to shake out potential deals in M&A kind of, as well as potential IPOs.

So, for instance, we had Lincoln National announcing that it’s shedding its two broker-dealers and RIAs that roughly have $108,000,000,000 in assets to Osiac’s network.

On Tuesday, we saw an article that Apex is confidentially submitting a draft registration statement on form S-1 to the SEC. That’s usually all you have to submit before you do an IPO. There is no news coming from Apex; this is just an article that came out in Citywire & Wealthmanagement.com because they obviously saw the registration with the SEC.

You also had a Bloomberg article not sourced directly from the company that mentioned that Investment might be looking to sell Yoddle. And there was also an article on betterment by Citywire saying, “Hey, are they ready to IPO next year?” So, I would not be surprised to see many more of these types of announcements or trial balloons as the market continues to perform better, considering the IPO market was closed, and M&A was also kind of closed for business in 2023. And that reminds me, this will be the last wealth management digest for this year. We will see you next year. Happy holidays and Happy New Year.
