China’s Revolt Against Zero-Covid

The Wall Street Journal comments on China’s Revolt Against Zero-Covid

China’s Communist Party runs the world’s most extensive surveillance and police state, so any public protest against its policies takes courage and runs great personal risk. That’s all the more reason to recognize the widespread demonstrations that broke out this weekend against the Chinese government’s draconian zero-Covid restrictions.

They reveal the public’s deep frustration after three years of the world’s most restrictive Covid policies that have shut down entire cities for weeks and months on government orders without public debate or recourse.

The trigger for the protests seems to have been an apartment fire in Urumqi, in Xinjiang province. Fire trucks reportedly had difficulty getting access to put out the fire, which killed 10. Xinjiang has been under its most recent Covid lockdown since August, and it is the Western province where Beijing has imposed mass confinement and re-education of the Uyghur Muslim minority. The protests spread quickly throughout China as young people in particular went to the streets. Some held blank sheets of paper, which has become a symbolic protest against the restrictions on speaking against the Covid coercion and other abuses.

Enough is Enough

Down with Xi Jinping!

People were shouting: “Down with the Communist Party! “Down with Xi Jinping!” “We want freedom!”

Every of these slogans is enough to send a person to jail for 10 years or even a life risk.

Do You Dare? She Did.

End the Lockdowns

In Beijing, residents of dozens of compounds have organized themselves to challenge the lockdown enforcers and demand them to reopen the locked entrance. It seems that they have all succeeded, including Tiantongyuan, a massive community with 300,000 residents.

It is not insane. Morally corrupt? Sure. But the Chinese leadership is not stupid nor is it insane. This zero covid BS has nothing to do with covid and is simply a more comprehensive version of Jimmy Carter’s “Drive 55 to arrive alive” scam. These policies are put in place to SLOW DOWN CONSUMPTION at a time when CPIflation is out of control. The leadership hopes to flatten the curve so that strong inflation doesn’t turn into hyperinflation in which confidence is lost in the con game of fake money.
When you don’t understand a thing, avoid the temptation to think that someone is “crazy”. The more likely reason is that you simply don’t understand what is going on behind the scenes.

YES. They hope to reduce demand based CPIflation, same as what powell is doing in the US by raising interest rates. They pumped up the ponzi with a clear policy to increase spending by increasing the wealth effect. Now that CPIflation has arrived, they think that they can shut it down by reducing demand. This is not going to work because they cannot raise rates high enough without totally collapsing the economy. Once the CPIflation genii is out of the bottle it is very difficult to re-contain it because the fake paper currency that most people have been tricked into believing is money is inherently worthless ALREADY. It is only by the madness of crowds that fake, unbacked colored paper is attributed any value by the poor suckers who got tricked into believing that fake paper currency is actually real money.

Lockdowns don’t have anything to do with covid. Dr. Henderson of small pox fame explained in an interview the reasons why it would not work and what would happen if implemented but Fauci and company ignored him. Henderson said it would fail to contain the disease and cause serious social problems. Now why would anyone want serious social problems and division in the US?
As for the CCP, they need lockdowns to maintain control. Protests were happening in China long before covid. If anyone does not understand by now what is going on there is probably not much hope in this life of ever being aware of how the world really works. Governments are not permanent things. They fall apart 100% of the time. Hopefully we are not living in these times but it sure as hek looks like it.

We are living in those times, and I love it! Unfortunately, most people have chosen to not understand how the world works because they are too afraid of knowing. Instead, they live on their knees and chase whatever the authorities tell them to chase. I predict true liberty will be the inevitable result of this push for the digital prison that most people deny even though it’s right in front of their ignorant eyes. From what I’ve seen, most Americans are too fat and cowardly to do anything meaningful; and most Europeans are so weak they spend their time whining about how the Americans won’t come and save their precious buns. These are the kind of people that tyrants love in their dictatorships. Cowardly, ignorant fools who will keep begging for their chains as they don’t have the cajones for liberty.

Lockdowns have been tried for centuries. They do not work. Same goes for masks. If masks worked the CDC would have recommended them during flu season for decades. They never did or even mildly entertained using them even for elderly. Lockdowns do no work, fake vaccines do not work, masks do not work. The only thing that works is natural immunity and living a healthier lifestyle focused on not being obese. The real proof however is the southern border. It has never been locked down. Millions entering unchecked. End of the day we never had a covid problem. We have a feeble mindedness problem. Lots and lots of stupid people who can’t comprehend the government is not their friend.

China is the evidence that there should never have been lockdowns in the first place. There was never any science to support lockdowns. The three from Stanford, Harvard, and Oxford, who authored the Great Barrington Declaration- were right all along.
Fauci and Collins colluded to smear them. They owe an apology.
Disneyland was locked down for an entire year. It didn’t prevent transmission of the Covid virus. Locked down California churches didn’t prevent transmission of the virus. Mask mandates did not prevent transmission of the Covid virus. Social distancing mandates didn’t prevent transmission of the Covid virus. Lastly, the Covid shots didn’t prevent transmission of the Covid virus, as CDC head Rochelle Walenski has personally proven. People who have been paying attention, know they aren’t safe, either.

I read an article about the 1918 flu pandemic . It spoke about an island nation, don’t remember name, that isolated and did not have a single case of the flu. After the pandemic was over with they discontinued their quarantine and guess what, the flu ravaged the island anyway. Again this was after it was over with in the rest of the world, so wtf. Basically it sounds like there is really nothing you can do except self isolate if you want and take precaautions. The fing vaccine which, I also got, obviously was probably not helpful as we have seen. I did get covid a year and a half of the initial dose, no boosters, it was nothing. I have had worse colds. I don’t think the morons in charge know what to do. I think the Swedish approach was best.

It will be interesting to see who breaks first.
XI and his absurd Covid policies on an outbreak that’s been over for 2+ years now.
The will of the people over being unjustly locked up over an outbreak that’s been over for 2+ years now.
My money is on the people. Once mobs get sufficiently large, there is no way to control them until they’ve run their course. Attempting to arrest and/or kill tens of thousands will only make the mob that much larger and angrier. Ending the lockups will diffuse the situation even if it causes loss of face for XI (likely he will be toppled politically).

Xi did manage to put down the K protests w/o a large amount of deaths. The head instigators all got thrown in prison. The same will likely happen China. Chinese people are in general compliant and willing to follow rules with little question, so will be easy to get back into grumbling obedience once the leaders are removed.
OTOH, Iran isn’t doing so well with over 400 killed so far in the latest uprisings.

None of the tyrannical things that are happening in China are happening here in the USA.

That’s the reason why there is no organized 2A groups going around shooting police stations.

You cannot compare what is happening in China to the USA, because it’s not happened in the USA. If it did, yes, there would be organized revolt by people carrying actual weapons besides knives. Obviously it isn’t happening here at all because the reason for it to happen does not exist.

If the local PD was terrorizing the people and the people got organized the local PD wouldn’t have a chance of survival. One person well placed who decided to take out officers would be able to easily accomplish that. Thankfully, Americans don’t feel the need to do so because the local PD is a friend, not an enemy.
The difference is the local PD isn’t terrorizing the people so they don’t feel compelled to organize.
The 2A is a preventative maintenance on tyranny. That the USA hasn’t had a major problem with tyranny is a sign that the 2A is operating as intended.

Since when?
Name one person who was imprisoned or executed for demonstrating against a Chinese leader.
We all know the names of Americans who have been imprisoned for demonstrating against an American leader, and we know the name of one executed by a cop in the process of revolting.

“Tiannamin square where thousands of protestors were gunned down”
You remember that do you? Because no other reliable source seems to. According to Wikipedia:
“… former Beijing bureau chief of The Washington Post Jay Mathews and CBS correspondent Richard Roth reported that while they had heard sporadic gunfire, they could not
find enough evidence to suggest that a massacre took place on the
Square.”
… Wu’er Kaixi who said he had witnessed 200 students being cut down by gunfire,
however it was later proven that he had already left the square several
hours before the events he claimed to have happened. Records by the Tiananmen Mothers suggest that three students died in the Square the night of the army’s push into the Square. Taiwan-born Hou Dejian was present in the square to show solidarity with the students and said
that he did not see any massacre occurring in the square. He was quoted
by Xiaoping Li, a former China dissident to have stated: “Some people
said 200 died in the square, and others claimed that as many as 2,000
died. There were also stories of tanks running over students who were
trying to leave. I have to say I did not see any of that. I was in the
square until 6:30 in the morning.”

In 2011, three secret cables from the United States embassy in Beijing agreed there was no bloodshed inside Tiananmen Square… “

Tech is not your friend. We are. Sign up for The Tech Friend newsletter.
Numerous Chinese-language accounts, some dormant for months or years, came to life early Sunday and started spamming the service with links to escort services and other adult offerings alongside city names.
The result: For hours, anyone searching for posts from those cities and using the Chinese names for the locations would see pages and pages of useless tweets instead of information about the daring protests as they escalated to include calls for Communist Party leaders to resign.

I’m sure that having 5 million dead from COVID would be far better than for some people to have to spend a couple of weeks at home occasionally.
A few tiny demonstrations here and there in a country of 1.4 BILLION, no doubt CIA induced, are unlikely to reflect the will of the people. The CCP is very careful to understand how the people really feel and respond appropriately – after all, their own future depends on it. But the Western propaganda machine is now in full swing, of course.
How about the anti-America protests across Germany? Any media coverage of those? No? I wonder why not.
